Jesse Glass

Founding Partner

Jesse has been based in Chengdu since 2014 and has been able to quickly expand his networks within a wide variety of sectors. He graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelors degree, majoring in Creative Writing and English Literature.

Upon moving to China, Jesse’s studies shifted focus from English to Chinese. After two years studying in Chengdu, Jesse’s efforts were recognised by the Victorian government, awarding him the Hamer Scholarship. As a result of his studies, Jesse achieved a HSK 5 Chinese language level and is the current President of the Australia China Youth Association’s Chengdu Chapter.

Jesse has a strong history in sports, working for three years as the Company Manager for Melbourne Netball and executing Australian Rules Football clinics in Chengdu, in conjunction with the Australian Consulate-General. Jesse has also worked in the hospitality industries in both Melbourne and Chengdu at establishments including Rooftop Bar, The Carlton Club and the Jellyfish Company.

Tyson Murphy

Founding Partner

Tyson has been living in China for over 2 years, working in the Chengdu sports industry across swimming, tennis and Australian Rules Football clinics. He is a graduate of the esteemed Victorian Government Hamer Scholarship where he completed his Chinese studies at Suzhou University in 2017. Tyson has a Bachelor in Applied Science (Health Promotion) and in 2014 completed a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a strong focus on the China-Australia free trade agreement. This included studies in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.

Whilst living in Melbourne Tyson spent over 10 years working at a statewide NFP peak body as a cross cultural facilitator, workforce issues manager and implemented their Social Enterprise Unit before moving to China. Tyson’s areas of expertise include fostering business ties, bridging the gap between cultures and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Andrew Poole

Business Development Associate

Andrew graduated from Deakin University in Melbourne, majoring in Finance and Chinese Language.

He has over eight years of experience working in P.R. China and Taiwan within the Digital and Consulting industries.

Andrew has co-founded two companies – a consulting and services firm based in China and a creative digital agency with three offices globally.

With full professional Mandarin Chinese proficiency and its application in business and cultural affairs, Andrew is passionate about building the China-Australian relationship and surrounding himself with an enthusiastic and driven team to deliver results that break the status quo.
